To provide small business members the access to information and business opportunities in government contracting they can use to their advantage, the GovCon Council has created The GovCon Contracting Series. This Series is the region’s premier education and networking program for new, established and growing government contractors and is comprised of several parts.
The GovCon Fort Belvoir Procurement Forum
The GovCon Fort Belvoir Procurement Forum is the region’s foremost education and networking event for small businesses within the government contracting industry. The event’s focus is to provide small contractors the avenue, information, knowledge, and connections they need to successfully partner with agencies located on Fort Belvoir, as well as with the primes who contract with these agencies. The Forum provides a business development arena featuring procurement agencies located at Ft. Belvoir, training on how to develop relationships with the Fort Belvoir procurement community, and knowledge on developing prime and subcontracting relationships with other agencies and companies throughout the metro area. Presented in partnership by The Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce’s GovCon Council and The Fort Belvoir Capital District Contracting Center, GovCon brings together all of the key players from industry and government and delivers the most current insight to improve business operations and contracting success. Attendees will learn the most up to date information on important contracting issues in several seminars led by well qualified speakers, as well as “real time” BRAC information from experts in the areas most important to this impending surge of products and service requirements. Throughout the day’s events, there will be ample opportunity to network with colleagues, clients, government officials, primes and potential partners and to visit exhibits from industry and government agencies. The Forum will culminate with private, one-on-one meetings with procurement officers, prime contractors & SADBU representatives. |
